CCI's mission is "to promote citizen understanding of political,
economic and technological forces at work in the emergence of the
information society, to develop knowledge and tools useful for
citizens seeking to build more democratic forms of communication,
and to disseminate such knowledge and tools by varied means,
including the World Wide Web." Combining policy research and
state-of-the-art computer expertise, CCI develops and disseminates
Internet applications that facilitate public ability to track
political issues, foster online collaboration and help broaden
constituencies for change.
